5G Blanket - Quareness Series 118th "Lecture".

Prior to the late 1800s there were only two known main causes of electromagnetism on our planet - lightning and sunlight. Both of these produced and continue to produce effects in specific and only very limited parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Indeed it could be said that for most of known human existence even the idea of electromagnetism hardly existed as a factor of normal human experience and had no noticed impact on human life. Since the Scientific Revolution, however, we've seen the slow stripping away during the 18th and 19th centuries of a widely felt deep spiritual relationship to nature and a clearing of the way for both a materialistic

explanation for light and a technological approach to electricity.

As such technology developed, the frequencies utilised were increased from the lower to higher ends of the electromagnetic spectrum. During the 1890s power lines delivering the new mains electricity to factories and houses were standardised at 50 or 60 Hz (cycles per second). During the 1920s with the advent of public radio

broadcasts, mostly long wave frequencies under 500 KHz (thousands of cycles per second) were used. New and improved technologies saw the use of medium and shortwave frequencies (between 500 KHz and 1700 KHz) during the 1930s and 40s. And by the 1950s we had very high frequencies (VHF) of 30-300 MHz (millions of cycles per second) employed for radio and TV broadcasting. In addition, during World War ll, a method was discovered for generating even higher frequencies of between 3 and 30 GHz (thousands of millions of cycles per second) which became the basis for radar.

Each escalation in frequency required more power to transmit the radio waves. Our current era of mobile and smart phones and WiFi has brought into widespread use the ultra high frequency (UHF) part of the spectrum (300 MHz - 3 GHz) for signal transmission...demanding more than 10 times the power needed for VHF. And already coming into view is another new era of an extremely high frequency "electronic ecosystem" (with up to 70 GHz envisaged) requiring yet more power for effective transmission of its millimetre waves. What's in front of us is looking more and more like a compromised natural environment saturated with an invisible fog of radiation.

In tandem with the growth of these increasingly high frequency technologies, it would seem that humanity has grown more and more disassociated from the natural world. The supply of mains electricity liberated us from subservience to nature's cyles of day/night and summer/winter by giving access to a new source of light/warmth/

power. Radio enabled people to communicate over vast distances and brought the outside world into our living rooms. Television intensified this experience of an absent but present world, when we were drawn away from awareness of our immediate surroundings into an addictive and fascinating world of images on a screen. And with

the arrival of the smartphone, this trend towards addictiveness has been greatly strengthened...in part due to the screen becoming a portable interface with the Internet but also because of the exploitative nature of how the major portal providers (Facebook, Google, etc.) "hook" people to their devices. This type of addiction of course tends to dislocate users from their own inner centre of stillness whilst at the same time disconnecting them from the natural environment.

The new 5G "climate" now being rolled out may very likely accentuate this growing tendency for people "to lose themselves" further weakening their relationship to nature...perhaps through its potential/promise to make advanced Virtual Reality (VR) accessible to all. Here we could see more sophisticated sight and sound headsets

supplemented with an artificial "body suit" enabling the wearer to experience sensations of touch (e.g. pressure, warmth, hardness, softness, moisture, dryness, etc.) in "false" reality. With any such enhanced "total immersion" in VR we could see increasing confusion as to which of the electronically generated or the natural worlds are real. And any use of Augmented Reality overlaying artificial content onto the experience of the physical world, would surely add further to the confusion as the virtual increasingly became integrated within the real world.

No doubt many (most?) people could easily adjust to regarding the virtual world as having as great a claim on their attention/emotions/thoughts as the natural world. We'd be increasingly tempted to give our loyalty to an environment that would (i) further undermine our relatedness to nature and (ii) exert a corrosive effect on the

inner life of the soul (through an assault on the imagination). The saturation of the world with those extremely high frequency miilimetre waves also points to the potential for a huge increase in the use of 3D holographics that would likely give virtual entities the ability to "incarnate" electronically in the physical environment. It seems that on this 5G (and later follow-ons) question, the impact of the waves themselves is not the only issue that needs to be considered, given the potential effect of the technologies involved on our inner life.

If we consider the difference between say radio broadcasting and the Internet, another dynamic comes into view. The earlier tight human control serving a specific purpose has given way to a permanent and constantly available infrastructure of undefined scope and reach. We have seen an increasing co-ordination of intelligence-endowed machines operating without any need of human supervision. It's hardly unreasonable then to see in the new 5G electronic ecosystem the necessary precondition for developing a global Artificial Intelligence (AI) network feeding on an ultra fast transfer of large amounts of information...say hello to the "Internet of Things" (IOT) electronic brain already impacting on our lives today.

No doubt (again) this IOT is and will be viewed by many as a wonderful development with "smart" machines helping with our daily chores in myriad ways e.g. keeping our homes secure/serviced, restocking our fridges, driving our cars, etc. However, you can't help but wonder if it is in fact the precursor to an "Internet of Thinking" in which people will have to live in constant unrelenting relationship to an "always on and everywhere" vast global electronic intelligence and have to rely on interaction with it in order to accomplish the simplest of tasks. It's not much of a stretch to see in this the outline of an electronically supercharged totalitarian state, with unprecedented

control over the minutiae of all our lives. The potential for such a nightmare unfolding seems only to be increased when thousands/millions of new mini phone masts and satellites are set to irradiate every part of our planet with millimetre waves. Bearing this possibility in mind, the 5G roll-out could come to mean putting in place not just an improved telecommunications system but a new "system of systems" facilitating an infrastructure of electronic totalitarianism.

Those electrical energies we have summoned to give us new powers would now appear to be overpowering us. They seem to be dragging us down into a realm of hellish entertainment, distraction, illusion and disconnection from what really matters (i.e. the reality of nature and the spiritual order that infuses nature). We might reasonably ask if an electronic ecosystem is really needed at all or if our Earth will truly benefit from being irradiated with millimetre waves.

In order to bring some spiritually informed understanding into the picture here, we might instead need to develop a clear perception of the "moral quality" of electricity, recognising the "spirituality" that it serves. We might then be empowered to break the spell that electricity and electronic technologies have cast over us, and enable a

more appropriate relationship to them. The foundation of everything else may lie in rebuilding our relationship to the light and its selfless benevolence leading us towards our essential humanity. And this getting in touch with the outer light through the natural daily and seasonal cycles can nurture a relationship to the inner light source of all creation...what the Christian tradition knows as the cosmic Logos.

For those with eyes to see bearing witness today

To converging assaults upon people's autonomy,

Truth, freedom and health are now all under attack.

Now riding rapidly into view we can see the "new" model 666,

With a three-pronged agenda of power, profit and control

Obsessively serving the interests of an elite set of people.

With discourse and debate being increasingly suppressed,

Freedom is denied and truth moved to scientific "consensus"

Where outdated "facts" are used for fake problems and solutions.

Without our freedom we can hardly have truth,

Without truth we can hardly have real health,

And without true health we don't really have

Sufficient strength to "fight" for freedom.
